Whole30- Day 30!

This is it- Day 30 of my Whole30 journey. I did it. I didn't know if I'd go the entire 30 days, but I DID it! I'm impressed with myself. The biggest self-realizations I'm taking away from this experience are these: I don't need Crystal Light OR protein bars OR copious amounts of splenda in my hot beverages to enjoy them. For the last 30 days I ate whole foods, no grains, no processed crap, no sugar...and today I feel GREAT. Now the question is: how am I going to weave this into my daily life? Kidding Around Yoga

I'm going through instructor training for 'Kidding Around Yoga' (KAY) this weekend. People who know me know that I'll likely turn and run when the opportunity to teach fitness to children arises. It's not easy for me- I've always felt like a babysitter first and everything else second. I'm a woman who likes organization and schedules. But I also have a creative side that thirsts for artistry and play. This training is teaching me how to relate to kids through my creative side. It's surprisingly refreshing and enjoyable. I'm getting a ton of applicable information from this training, and I've only been through day 1 (of 3). Looking forward to learning more today! Want to learn more about Kidding Around Yoga? The Whole 30

Yes, I'm doing the Whole 30. The FitLine functional fitness team at the MJCCA all decided to do the Whole 30 together as a group of like-minded crazies who need moral support. The funny thing is, I've not been eating all that differently than before, just with more Intention and Dedication to researching recipes that look delicious (thank you Pinterest!), preparing foods at home, and visiting the grocery store more frequently than what I considered 'normal.' Today is day 22 of 30. It's been surprisingly freeing and inspiring!
